Kigen has established a permanent base in India since 2017, when founded by IP giant, Arm Holdings. Since becoming an independent company, Kigen has invested further in its customer excellence headquarters in Noida, with local sales in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune. Over 30% of Kigen’s employees are based in India.

eSIMs or eUICCs, simplified
eUICCs (embedded Universal Integrated Circuit card) or eSIM is the hardware component of the familiar SIM card and a physical MFF2 (Machine Form Factor) that can be soldered into a solution. At the heart of the eUICC is a secure Operating System and software components called ‘applets’ that allow remote eSIM provisioning of chosen network profiles and additional value-added services such as automatic network loss detection or key management with GSMA IoT SAFE standard for end-to-end security.
Depending on the memory size required by the combination of eUICC secure OS and associated applets critical for the use case, it can be certified with chipsets with sufficient memory capacity to run efficiently through a device’s battery life. Kigen sports the world’s leading eSIM Secure OS tuned for the world of efficiency certified on a range of leading chipsets and modules so that manufacture, adoption and logistics of eSIM adoption are simpler for you.

We believe in a world where all connected things and their data flows are authenticated at the very get-go, so we found inspiration for our company name in the Japanese word Kigen which means ‘origin’ or ‘genesis’.
