Historically data generation was one step of a smart card production process called Card Personalization. For SIM cards, this security requirement gave birth to the Security Accreditation Scheme, operated by the GSMA on behalf of their MNO members, for ensuring that SIM vendors were handling subscription data with appropriate care.
SIM vendors already have in-house capabilities for data generation but the eSIM and iSIM value chains redistribute many roles and responsibilities among many new stakeholders who will personalise operator credentials along different stages of production or over-the-air when devices are deployed.
Kigen can offer data generation as a service to new ecosystem players.
